Burton's First-Annual Abominable Snow Jam
Nikita's A-Team takes the "show up and blow up" approach
Press release
If anyone is wondering what the Nikita girls were up to this last weekend, they were busy wrecking house this July 9-11 at Oregon's Mt. Hood.
Representing the IKIT crew on the podium in every division, Hannah Teter rocked out all weekend long, taking second in slopestyle and sweeping the women's quarterpipe with steezy frontside 5s, 3s, and enormous airs that left everyone talking. For her skills, young H to tha' T was rewarded with a $5,000 drop for the piggy bank, a Rolex watch (what?!), and a 42-inch TV. Regarding the event, Teter had this to say, "Heck yeah! Snowboarding is fun. Chickah, chickah, chicka bow wow."

Also out to destroy was Natasza Zurek, who threw down some serious backside 5s, 3s, and a lovely gap to 50-50 on the down-flat-down rail, rightfully claiming the number-one spot. Some say it was the dollars that motivated the ruler, but Zurek broke it down: "The event was a nice, sunny day with a good, fun course and it was fun to ride with my friends. And, of course, $5,000 would motivate anyone, so that wasn't a bad thing either."
