Savier's First All Girl Skate Jam Report
October 13, 2003
press release

Savier hosts the first All Girl Skate Jam in our private facility. We opened the doors Wednesday night at 7 p.m. Girls came from all over -- from Seattle to Eugene -- to skate. Rebekah and Libby, our two talented and experienced local skaters, organized several small "how to" clinics all over the park, which kept both of them very busy.

The 48-foot-wide, bowled-in mini-ramp saw most of the action, where the girls from Tactic Board Shop from Seattle held down the session. On the street course, first-time skater Chloe Gorman was getting several tips on her skating as she rolled around. She heard about the night through Exit Real World. And the biggest group of girls came from Ollie's in Oregon City. Sydney, the owner's daughter, was instrumental in getting this type of night underway -- her enthusiasm for having this night was like going to a N'Sync concert, as you can tell from the photo of her club.

The next night's scheduled for November 12th! So if you would like to participate, call up your friends, tell them Nov. 12th is a road trip to Burnside and Savier for a day of skating!
